Night of the Arts

Art, in all its forms, is a very important part of our development. In BAICA, our High School students show the work they have done during the year in their Visual and Performance Arts courses, at our Night of the Arts. This is an event we invite everyone to attend, then we dim the lights and enjoy watching them, the protagonists.
The theme of the presentation this year was “Transformation”.
Miss Natalia Ferber’s Music students played and sang songs they themselves had composed as well as others, such as Stand By Me and Beautiful Girls, Tere Sang Yaara, Valery, Girl on Fire, Set Fire to the Rain, Devuélveme el corazón and By My Side.

Miss Amy Rumph’s Visual Arts students painted a second mural. Their success with the mural depicting the lion (BAICA’s mascot) inspired them to create another mural for the ground floor playground. The theme was “botanical garden”, in keeping with the needs and interests of the students who use that playground the most: our little ones in PK and K and our Elementary level students. It turned out great!

Students of Sci-Fi teacher Santiago Luna showed the comics they had created and also put up an exhibition of Star Wars Stormtroopers papercraft.

Finally, Miss Taber Timmons’ students presented the play “Transformative Television”, a creation of their own, conveying the message that the things to which we expose ourselves influence our vision of reality.

A special mention goes to the students who took part in the Events Organization elective, taught by Miss Sawyer Epp. They acted as masters of ceremony, they planned the transitions and the flow of people from one exhibit to the next and they did an exceptional job of decorating the school.
